Day 5

I have found a pretty, pretty caterpillar.  The type of it is a tomato worm.  I don't know why they call it a tomato worm, I think they should call it a tomato caterpillar.  It's doing fine.  I'm just at my moms' house today.  I have left it at my dad's house.  I forgot it; he's going to take good care of it for me.  He will bring it to me tomorrow if he has time.  And then I'm going to go to school.

There's lots of deers in my yard so I have to be careful that I don't leave it outside because the deers might step on it.

The grass is mowed for my chickens so I can't let him crawl out to the chickens but I can let him run around and play because it's short grass now.

The end.

  1. Your house sounds like such a cool place for adventures! Maybe you could post a picture of your caterpillar! My children would love to see it. Have a great evening, Rayne! :o)

  2. Yes, the chickens would think it was delicious! I was talking to my Mama yesterday (she lives in North Carolina) and she told me that while we were on the phone, she saw a pink and purple VERY fuzzy caterpillar! She is supposed to send me a picture of it, and if she does, I will be sure to put it on Facebook so your Mama can show you.
I wonder what kind of butterflies/moths they will turn into- my Mama's caterpillar and your worm. We should look it up!

  3. Worms and caterpillars are so cool! Is it going to build a cocoon? We had caterpillars in one of my classes at school when I was little. We watched them build cocoons and when they turned into butterflies, we took them outside and watched them fly away!
